Venison Stroganoff

A simple and healthier take on a comfort food standard.

Servings: 4

Venison Stroganoff


  • 1 Tbs Olive Oil

  • 3.5 Tbs Salted Butter

  • 1 Onion, sliced

  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced

  • 3.5 cups Mushrooms, sliced

  • 2 pounds Highland Farm Venison Stew

  • 1 Tbs Heavy Cream

  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice

  • 1 package Egg Noodles

  • Salt & Pepper to taste


  1. Heat oil and half of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Saute onions and garlic, then add mushrooms. Cook until soft.

  3. Add salt and pepper to taste, then transfer to bowl and set aside.

  4. Using the same skillet, heat the remaining butter.

  5. Cook venison stew meat in a single layer until medium (About 30 seconds on each side.)

  6. Prepare egg noodles according to the package.

  7. Add heavy cream and lemon juice to the skillet.

  8. Simmer for a few more minutes.

  9. Serve over egg noodles.
